VeloFemmes Rides

1. Our motto is: "Tacoma Women. Riding Bikes. Having Fun." An event that is organized by VeloFemmes will always be in that general spirit.

2. The main organizer of an official VeloFemmes event needs to either serve on "Le Plan" (the VeloFemmes organizing committee), or closely coordinate with a member of "Le Plan".

3. VeloFemmes rides are women-focused, free*, and open to the general public (with a focus on those that identify as women).

4. If the event is a ride:

  • It needs to be a no-drop ride.

  • The ride leader must have attended one of our “Learn How to Lead a Ride” trainings.

  • The ride leader must follow the rules of the road and should be familiar with the route before leading a group ride.

  • The ride needs to be insured under our insurance policy, and every rider needs to sign a waiver before the ride.

  • Every ride leader has to follow our official “pre-ride protocol”.

5. VeloFemmes rides are covered by our insurance policy

*We sometimes ask for small donations. Also, if it’s an overnight ride or if we go out afterwards, those costs will be covered by riders themselves.
